Objectives
1.) To serve alongside the Kingsland Student Ministry as they partner with the greater mission and vision of Kingsland Baptist Church by raising up students who experience true fulfillment in Jesus Christ, one home at a time.
2.) To effectively and strategically lead the students of Kingsland by partnering with parents, equipping leaders and developing relationships, programs and events to disciple students.
Areas of Responsibility and Associated Actions
Sunday Morning Ministry Director:
- Develop overall ministry strategy for Sunday morning ministry with input from Lead Student Pastor
- Lead and shepherd JH & HS students in Sunday morning ministries
- Train and equip High School students to be lights and leaders on Sunday mornings
- Develop Sunday morning programming, curriculum and core group material
- Recruit, support and lead adult and student leaders in needed roles and positions
- Provide regular training and communication with adult and student leaders
- Coordinate with KSM staff on ministry needs
Midweek Ministry:
- Support overall ministry strategy for Wednesday night ministry and offer input to Lead Student Pastor
- Support Lead Student Pastor in midweek programming and curriculum geared toward equipping of students to share their faith and reach their peers for Christ.
- Lead, develop and encourage midweek ministry leaders
- Shepherd pastoral care issues that arise with students
- Shepherd student worship and praise band
High School Guys LifeGroup Shepherd:
- Lead and disciple a group of students
- Partner with KSM staff LifeGroup Director to develop and execute mission and vision of LifeGroup ministry for High School Students
- Partner with student ministry pastors to oversee High Guy LifeGroups
- Help develop and encourage High School Guys LifeGroup leaders
- Shepherd pastoral care issues that arise in High School Guys LifeGroups
High School Parent Ministry Development:
- Develop Milestones seminars and resources for guy students and their parents: Purity for Life, Preparing for Adulthood, etc.
- Provide resources, communication and council to parents throughout the year regarding the spiritual growth of High School students
- Partner with parents and children’s ministry in connecting future Junior High School students from 5th grade
- Partner with parents and high school ministry in helping 8th grade students transition to high school
Overall KSM Ministry Program and Church Development & Support:
- Continuously evaluate the needs of students as well as current ministry programs in light of overall KSM mission and vision and when necessary, recommend improvements and changes
- Coordinate with KSM staff in leadership and execution of large events such as Kamp, Mission’s Trips, Retreats, Service Opportunities etc.
- Effectively market and publicize KSM activities to parents and students through church web site, worship guide, email, social media, etc.
- Participate in and offer input at Pastoral, Discipleship Team and All Staff meetings

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree & Seminary Degree Preferred
Licensed call to vocational ministry
Minimum 3-year full-time, ministry experience
