Campus Pastor

Venture Church is looking for a Pastor who wants to get out of bed every day and lead the Lincolnton Campus to engage those far from God with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to know and follow Him!  Visit www.DareToVenture.org to learn more about Venture.

Venture’s vision is to use a multi-site approach that unites us as one church working together to localize the work of the Gospel up and down the 321 corridor and surrounding counties … all while moving forward in our vision to take names off the list of people groups around the world who have no access to the gospel!  Therefore, we want a guy who wants to live in the Lincolnton footprint, not as a method for ministry or job requirement but out of a genuine love for Jesus and the people of this region.  

We launched phase one of the Lincolnton Campus on April 24, 2022, with a vision to build it into something that needed a Campus Pastor to take it to the next level … and that’s exactly what’s happened!  The Lincolnton life groups are getting fat and need to multiply.  There’s a growing children’s ministry led by a part-time children’s director that’s ready to go to the next level, and we’ve started a Sunday night student Bible study that’s beginning to develop a local identity for Lincolnton students involved in our rapidly growing student ministry at our Dallas Campus.  Our worship gatherings for this campus have been on Sunday nights, but we have plans in place to move it to Sunday AM … we just want to get a campus pastor first!  In short, this is a HUGE opportunity to build something great!!!

At the most basic level, the job of a Venture Campus Pastor is to lead and grow the essential values that define a Biblical local church.  We call them Venture’s Core Values:

Practically, the Campus Pastor will develop and lead leaders who will accomplish the ministry objectives of Venture:

1. CONNECT believers with believers AND believers with nonbelievers.
2. TEACH the Bible and the Gospel it's about.
3. INSPIRE people on the worthiness of loving and following Jesus!
4. GROW people in an abiding relationship with Jesus so they bear much fruit (discipleship).
5. MULTIPLY Kingdom leaders who influence others to know and follow Christ.

Lincolnton is the county seat for Lincoln County, NC.  It's a small town with an exciting vibe and culture. Our current office space is in the heart of downtown. You can walk right out of the office and find all kinds of great restaurants and shops. People who live in Lincolnton get all the best of small-town life with easy access to everything in one of America’s fastest-growing cities—Charlotte, NC. The NFL, NBA, and MLS all have teams in Charlotte, the PGA comes to town once a year, and it's the home of NASCAR! For outdoor enthusiasts, the list of activities in and around the Charlotte region is endless, and it's an easy day trip to all the mountain activities you could ever want.
