Position Description

A/V Technology Coordinator--Worship and Arts Ministry

(15-25 hours per week)

 

Purpose

To serve as the leader and coordinator of the Tech Ministry, being responsible for planning, designing, producing and distributing all audio/visual aspects of the Worship and Arts Ministry of Meadow Park Church of God.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and train all A/V techs for the Tech Ministry
  • Provide supervision and observe team members in action for quality improvement
  • Coordinate A/V schedules for all worship gatherings and special events including all set up and tear down of A/V equipment
  • Educate oneself about upcoming events and anticipate media needs
  • Oversee recording/video ministry
  • Meet weekly with Pastor of Worship and Arts to discuss upcoming services and events
  • Oversee and develop Online services and recordings
  • Maintain inventory of all media and production hardware and software, and updating and maintaining inventory
  • Troubleshoot equipment and performing minor maintenance activities
  • Make cost effective recommendations to obtain technologies to meet anticipated media needs
  • Perform related duties as assigned (including assistance in other ministry areas)
  • Acquire technical competency in needed media hardware and software equipment
  • Attend needed technology conferences for additional training

 

Qualifications:

  • A follower of Jesus Christ
  • Ability to worship alongside those he/she is serving
  • Excellent working knowledge of audio/visual equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with A/V equipment and determine the best course of action to remedy the existing problem
  • Willing to learn about the theology and philosophy of worship
  • Ability to work well and communicate with others
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to supervise others
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Must be dependable and teachable
  • Proficient in ProPresenter, Light Key, and Ableton software

 

Accountability and Relationships:

The Technology Coordinator is directly accountable to the Pastor of Worship and Arts.  The TC will also have direct relationships with the Tech Ministry Team and the Worship Design Team.

 

Time Responsibility:

15-25 hours per week; will include some evenings and most weekends

 

Evaluation:

A review will be conducted six months and one year after hire date, and then annually thereafter. The Executive Pastor and Lead Pastor will determine pay rate and other items related to compensation and employment.
