Next Gen Worship Director (Contract Position)

Qualifications:

• Spiritual growth, evident by a growing relationship with Christ
• Ability to lead and inspire others to actively engage in worship
• Ability to lead vocally with a guitar or keyboard
• Ability to lead a team of students (as young as 12)
• Align with Parkway Fellowship’s statement of faith
• Available 15-17 hours per week
• Displays evident qualities of pastoral leadership

Responsibilities:

The Next Gen Worship Director is a contract-based position and serves to lead both the Student & Young Adult Ministries in worship at Parkway Fellowship Westpark Location. This position will report to Zach Young, Worship Pastor Westpark Location, and is responsible for the planning and implementation of worship as outlined by the task list below.

Tasks:

• Coordinate and communicate with musicians and volunteers concerning schedules and song lists (Planning Center)
• Prepare music for team (lyric sheets, chord sheets, sheet music)
• Lead rehearsals for both Student Ministry and Young Adults worship teams and coach members as needed
• Lead teams of musicians and singers to lead others in worship starting at age 12
• Recruit and grow worship teams
• Manage worship equipment and worship space (Student Ministry and Young Adults)
• Communicate regularly with the Lead Student Pastor & Young Adults Pastor
• Serve as main worship leader for Student Ministry and Young Adult Ministry
  • Student Ministry: Sunday Mornings at three services, and once a month on Wednesday night
  • Young Adult Ministry: Thursday Nights

Framework of Position & Monthly Stipend:

• Student Ministry Hourly On-Site Commitment
  • Wednesday Night Rehearsal: 8:00 - 8:45 PM
  • Sunday Mornings: 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • Once a month Wednesday Night Worship
• Young Adults Hourly On-Site Commitment
  • Thursday Nights: 5:30 - 9:00 PM
• Additional “off-site” hours will be expected for scheduling, logistic, and administrative tasks necessary
• Total monthly stipend of $1200

About Parkway Fellowship:

Our church mission is, “To reach the lost at any cost and grow them to maturity.”  We have a vision to effectively minister to 10% of our community every week.  The Park first opened in 2003, meeting in a local high school. After reaching 500+ in attendance, the church acquired land and built a building in 2010.  Since then, The Park has expanded its current facilities twice, opened a second location in the north Katy area, and started an online venue. Parkway has an average weekly attendance of over 4,000 attendees.
