POSITION: Assistant Manager

LOCATION: Allergy Free Baking Company, Morrison, CO

TYPE OF POSITION: Full-time

COMPENSATION: $18-24 per hour plus tips*

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a friendly, virtuous, energetic Assistant Manager to join our small team of about ten. As an Assistant Manager, you will spend ~50% of your time with assistant manager responsibilities and ~50% of your time with baker duties. This is a full-time (40 hours) position.  This position is a mostly set schedule between the hours of 6:30am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday. Experience in a bakery or restaurant and in management is preferred, but a love of organization and baking is required. You must have good organizational and communication skills, and you should desire to facilitate a joyful environment of trust, cooperation, and teamwork.

This position will report to the Owner-Manager. 

*Tips average around $3 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with the Owner-Manager
  • Work as team with Owner-Manager and Head Baker
  • Co-create weekly baking plans with Head Baker
  • Ensure high quality product and packaging
  • Care for staff members
  • Facilitate a joyful environment of trust, cooperation, and teamwork
  • Co-create weekly staffing plan with Owner-Manager
  • Assist with bakery communications to staff members
  • Check supply deliveries, inventory, and product organization
  • Organize pre-orders and wholesale orders
  • Bake delicious allergy-free products
  • Clean dishes, pans, and workspace
  • Assist customers with a friendly, positive attitude
  • Package finished baked goods

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bakery or restaurant experience is a plus. A love of baking is required. The

ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

  • Great organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and desire to be part of a fun and friendly team
  • Ability to interact with customers positively
  • Capacity to build personal relationships of trust and respect with Owner-Manager,

colleagues, and customers

  • A strong work ethic, humble manner, and demonstrated willingness to go above and beyond when necessary
