You’ll get to help execute promotional station events, engage with listeners, and represent the station at concerts. This is an ideal position for anyone wanting to get into Media or the Radio Industry.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: (Responsibilities, Accountabilities, and Competencies; May not include all duties of this job)

• Set up both station and client events and engage in communication with station audience in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Maintain promotional closet and station giveaways.
• Pack station vehicle for upcoming events.
• Engineering set-up required by station to do off-site remote broadcast.
• Contact contest winners, coordinate logistics and prize distribution to listeners in a timely manner.
• Implement standards to maintain KFMK station image as well as cheerfully represent the station.
• Meet with the Promotions Director and Promotions Coordinator a minimum of twice per week to learn about current projects, promotions and upcoming events.
• Assist with event planning and on-site coordination of station/sales events/concerts.
• Generate ideas and actively seek new promotional giveaways that maintain station brand.
• Update, maintain and enter promotional values/winners/prizes into prize tracking database system.
• Create synopsis or recap after each station event and submit to supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1 year customer service experience

.Licensure/Certification: Valid Texas State driver’s license.

• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Perform as a team player.
• Work well under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and if under 25 years of age, must have a clean driving record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Broadcast, Journalism or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent..
Experience:  1-2 years customer service, public relations, marketing, or event planning.
Software and Equipment Used: Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and internet and experience with social media tools, such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and YouTube. Experience in Graphic Design and HTML web design.

Other Considerations:
Solid organizational skills and juggling multiple projects simultaneously with good follow-through.
Detail oriented.
Ability to achieve school credit.
