Video Production Specialist

Seattle-based dream job for an enthusiastic and imaginative, creative video producer. CRISTA Ministries is a local nonprofit with a global reach. CRISTA is a family of ministries; including international NGO’s, schools, radio stations, senior living facilities and summer camps. As a marketing-minded creative, you will participate in all stages of video production; from concept to delivery on a wide variety of projects. Participate in the creation of everything from 15-second digital ads to feature-length documentaries.

This role requires a highly passionate and self-motivated individual, able to work independently or collaboratively depending on circumstance. Confidence, adaptability and an optimistic outlook are necessary to succeed in this position.

Must have demonstrable and executable understanding of all aspects of video production, including but not limited to: Creative brainstorming, scriptwriting and editing, storyboarding, studio lighting, audio recording, cinematography, and all aspects of video post-production. Must have excellent reading comprehension and writing skills.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Video Production Specialist is responsible for participating in all stages of video production; from concept to delivery on a wide variety of projects.  Engage in the creation of everything from 15-second digital ads to feature-length documentaries.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Pre-production:

• Planning
• Storyboarding
• Client Meeting

Production:

• Filming
• Lighting
• Audio
• Interviews and B-ROLL

Post-production:

• Organizing
• Editing
• Color-grading
• Animation

Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Position will manage on a day-to-day basis any department interns that are hired on a seasonal basis.

 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Christian Commitment: A deep and abiding faith that is fully surrendered to the will of Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that is consistent with biblical principles in word and deed. Commitment to spiritual growth and development.  Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking, Visual Design, Marketing, Communications or a related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience: Two years of professional-level video production.  Hands-on experience filming with professional grade cameras (Canon C100+).

  • Flexibility, able to travel internationally and work occasional weekends.

• Software and Equipment Used: Adobe Creative Suite software, especially Premier Pro. Gimbal stabilizer, drone, pro lighting and audio etc.
