Promotion Coordinator - San Diego, CA

Salem Media Group in San Diego, CA (KCBQ and KPRZ) is looking for a dynamic Part-Time Promotions and Event Coordinator that will make a full contribution to the success of the Marketing/Promotion, Programming and Sales Departments by being an effective team member; assist with executing station promotions from inception to completion (including set-up and breakdown) and represent our stations at community events; assist and coordinate general Marketing and Promotion Department functions in a timely manner.

The Promotions Coordinator will work alongside the Promotions Director. Daily activity will include, but not be limited to: assisting with writing proposals and copy, event and promotional planning and execution, creating contesting, actively seeking promotional partnerships, as well as various administrative duties, engaging with our listeners and advertisers daily.

It is great for someone who’s looking for flexible hours, may involve evening and weekend responsibilities, in a fun and encouraging work environment.

Qualifications:

• This position requires someone outgoing, personable and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment; and great with follow-through, people skills and organization.
• The ideal candidate must project a positive and fun attitude, must be a professional and a team player, have excellent communication skills, be detailed-oriented, and must have a passion for marketing, promotions and/or radio.
• Experience in planning and executing promotional events preferred.
• Requires a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Photoshop and Outlook software, as well as excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some experience preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Must have excellent driving record with valid California Driver License and proof of insurance.
