Hope House Children's home has a position open for a director of girls care. There are normally twenty-six girls in care. The girls range in age from 8-18 all have a prior adoption history and are unable to fully bond. About 40% are from orphanges and the others through the foster care system in the US. Having been adopted they were unable to attach and have found themselves here to complete high school. We are not government funded-however we are licensed as a care facility.
Our need is urgent as a staff member is moving to a new position shortly and we want to have the time to fully prepare our new director to come to serve.
The girls are a blessing-and are in need of stable staff who are here to see them though the teen and preteen years. Sharing your faith in a gentle way is encouraged. Being willing to adapt and assist us in learning additional ways to create a better dorm life would be welcome as you bring your years of experience and your heart for ministry to girls.
We have a fully accrediated school for both our boys and girls with approximately 50 in attendance each day. We enjoy summer camping/have sports for community football-basketball-volleyball teams-we are small but mighty
Our staff have private housing on the property as you do not live in the girls home but nearby: Housing/all utilties/cell phone/internet/food/laundry are included along with a monthly stipend are given.

In 1973, Donnalee Velvick saw a need for a home that would benefit "hard-to-place" kids. Children who have mental, physical, and/or emotional challenges often "fall through the cracks" in our society. Her dream grew and developed into Hope House Home For Children. Hope House is located just west of the city limits of Nampa, Idaho, on approximately 75 acres in six different homes according to age, gender, and ability. We provide a home for approximately 40 youths under the age of eighteen and approximately 20 disabled young adults. Our staff consists of twelve full-time volunteers who live on the premises, ten College Interns and student helpers, as well as teachers, cooks and support personnel.
