Bethany Church On The Hill, a growing southern California church, needs experienced, energetic man to serve as Worship Pastor.
Our church embraces its multi-generational makeup and seeks to lead them through music in a generally modern/contemporary style, while also integrating cherished hymns.
Requirements and duties Include:
- A pastor's heart.
Our desire is for this position to truly be a pastor over this area who seeks the spiritual health and growth of all in the church, but most specifically in his particular sphere of influence.
- Leading worship for our services, which are currently 2 identical Sunday morning services, 1 Sunday evening service, 1 Wednesday night prayer service.
- Overseeing, leading, coordinating all aspects of worship music for the church including main services, children's ministries, youth ministries, etc.
- Ability to lead in various instrumentations and music styles.
Applicant should be comfiortable and versed in a praise band-type environment with guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, but also comfortable switching up the instrumentation for more "acoustic" sets utilizing piano, violin, etc. We would like to sing current, modern, Biblically-sound worship songs, but also integrate hymns and older songs, whether in original arrangement or updated arrangements.
- Able to connect with young and old members.
We seek to serve the various age groups in our church encouraging and loving them all.
- Have experience in digital technical equipment.
This position would oversee the entirety of our worhip and music ministry including the sound board, light board, projectors, etc. Applicant should be comfortable using various sound and lighting equipment and able to train and oversee volunteers in these areas.
- Support our school in certain audio/visual needs.
We have an elementary school on campus, which is a ministry of our church, that needs general support for chapel, school musicals and plays, etc. This position would assist in these areas either by first hand input or training/overseeing volunteers to help in these areas.
Our church has recently named a new senior pastor and is entering a new season of our ministry.
