Day Star Ministries is on a mission to educate (especially in science, history, and Biblical studies) in order to raise the standards for how Christians interact with everyone else—and to help skeptics see that following Christ can be a step forward, not backward. We organize talks and discussion groups that draw together Christians and non-believing skeptics, we foster other opportunities for friendship-building, and we publish books that challenge all with the life-flourishing and love-promoting words of Jesus. We operate 20 miles from Kansas City, in a pretty country setting backing to woods in Bonner Springs. Day Star President Fred Heeren is an author and journalist who has published in The Boston Globe, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Scientific American, and the journal Nature. He has spoken to university audiences about science and faith across the U.S. and around the world.
