Hope Community is a 11-year old church plant located in South Reno, Nevada, with an average attendance of 500 people. In August of 2013, we purchased our current location, a 26,000 square foot building, to allow for continued growth. Our current full-time staff includes the Lead Pastor, Associate Pastor, Connecting Director, Children’s Pastor, Youth Pastor, Office Manager and Preschool Director. Hope Community seeks a full-time Worship and Creative Arts Pastor to partner with us in reaching the people of South Reno and the surrounding community.
The desired candidate must have a passion for unchurched and underchurched people in our community. As Hope Community is a church of imperfect people that invites people to come as they are (but not stay that way), the desired candidate should be comfortable in serving and leading in an environment that is composed of seekers and new Christ followers. As for ministry specific requirements, the desired candidate must have relevant experience and affirmed gifts of leadership and administration in forming, directing and nurturing ministry teams within the areas of music, performing arts and multi-media. A commitment to recruiting volunteers and developing leadership is an essential part of this job description. Because we striving to continue to be a dynamic church, other duties will be assigned by the lead pastor.
