We are soliciting the services of native English-speaking teachers who are committed Christians, mission-
minded and have God-given vision for East Asia to meet the following urgent ministry opportunities and needs for
this fall and beyond.
Two and a half years ago, a group of US & Hong Kong Christians have established a new school in East Asia
to offer quality education services mainly for Chinese. The education services are based on
the concepts of Christian liberal arts education, student-based discovery learning, and problem-solving skills.
Uniqueness of the schools and education services:
1. Ultimate aim of the schools is to provide best-possible education services to the local community, starting
with one and developing to many, covering every region in China; by provide an updated, international bi-
lingual curriculum in safe, loving campuses.
2. Our education services is manned by a team of Christian teachers and supporting staff who are
continuously trained by selected expert educators from local and oversea, and shepherded by a school
chaplain, to ensure the spiritual growth & pastoral care of the school & its community of families, through
teaching and learning, activities and fellowship.
3. Our high quality educational services are tailor-made for families with children between eighteen-month-
old to 6-year-old; starting early not only benefit a fuller development of the children, also give us the
opportunity to provide much-needed parent education to align school and family efforts.
4. Through proper stretching and nourishing of our students at their early childhood stage, we aim to groom
them into young servant-leaders who are honorable, intelligent, generous, happy, literate, amicable, neat,
diligent, and sociable in character.
5. We operate a “second campus” – Life Experiential Center nearby to extend further services and activities
to our students and children in the community. These services include complementary and non-formal
development programs and development, such as : music and dance, adventure education, language training,
visual art and craft programs and other experiential learning classes.
6. By the Grace of God, it is our sincere wish to establish them as one of the model school systems in China
Mainland, local and nationally within 10 years, during which we are able to grow horizontally and
vertically in the Chinese education system.
To make these goals possible, we have developed an aggressive teacher training program in place, as well as
building alliances with established Christian education professionals to develop primary, secondary & tertiary
institutions in the near future.
Your duties as school teacher should include but NOT limited to the following:
1. Report to the School Superintendents, Principals and whoever is assigned to lead you, and be part of
the school teaching team;
2. To fulfill with whole-hearted dedication on all teaching assignments and related duties assigned to you;
3. To be humble and open to learn the Christian approaches and elements to education;
4. To join in the spiritual growth & pastoral care of the school & its community of families, through
teaching and learning, activities and fellowship;
5. To perform other related duties as required, especially in the Life Experiential Center.
The contracts for international teachers normally run for a period of twelve (12) or twenty-two (22)
months. You are invited to join as missionary staff. We ask that you to raise your own travel expenses to
and from your countries to China. All subsequent room and board will be provided by the school. If your
travel expenses are to be borne by yourself, the monthly stipend as a teacher for the first six months of
service should be more than enough to cover the round-trip ticket from and back to your home country.
China has recently instituted teaching visas for pre-school education but the application process will take up to
two years. Thus, our international teachers will have to obtain 1-year multiple-entry tourist visas and can only
work as volunteer, NOT employees and their stipends have to be channeled through Hong Kong or USA.
Native-speaking English persons, with or without Bachelor, master degrees, can be accepted for 1 year
appointment. We are prepared & equipped to help him/her learn kindergarten/primary Christian liberal
studies, student-base discovery learning, adventure training, and experiential education which enhance the
students' physical, mental & spiritual strength.
There is an overseeing Board of Directors for the schools. They are hands-on at this juncture, assisting to
establish this school at its infancy. Our school has a superintendent (teaching, curriculum & training), a
deputy school superintendent (administration & supporting services), a school principal and an assistant
principal. We have a core of dedicated faculty & staff, serving in administration, teaching, curriculum
development, staff development/HR, nutritionist for children, room & board for staff/faculty, school
chaplain, school medical officer/nurse, parents/schools liaison, etc. The distinctiveness of this school is
that we are top-heavy, meaning that we have 2 times more teachers than expected in US kindergartens or
primary schools. We are mandated & convicted, NOT only to train children from 18-month old, we are to
train Christian teachers and send them forth to establish similar schools around China.
Thus, as you can understand, support services for the faculty/staff are high on our agenda. We have
chaplain services, prayer time, our own worship services, staff development officer to enhance teachers'
academic & teaching credentials, and other staff support.
